Four good reasons to use the Simple Workspace flatplan

Producing a document to be printed sets different roles in a very restricted context: printers don’t wait. How does using the Simple Workspace flatplan provides security, fluidity, control and – ultimately – time savings?

1 – The flatplan shows the whole team the latest version of the document in progress: It is the reference. No need to search for the right version of a PDF, print it, paste it to the board, simply open an application.

**2 –**The flatplan shows the exact representation of the pages as they will be printed since Simple Workspace uses Adobe InDesign Server to generate the previews. And it makes no difference to layout designers since they can easily retrieve and finalize the InDesign files with their desktop version of Adobe InDesign before sending them back in the flatplan.

**3 –**The flatplan shows the status of the document: each page has a status associated with it, allowing the user to know if a page is finalized, being proofread, layout in progress, etc. In this way, the user can easily identify who is working on each page!

**4 –**Producing a document is a team effort. Starting from the flatplan, market managers and their teams can design the pages based on templates, place the selected offers on them, and annotate the pages finalized by the graphic designer. Managers track the progress of production, compare versions, and make decisions… and minor corrections can even be made directly without the need for Adobe InDesign.

I forgot a fifth good reason! This applies no matter where the team members are, whether they are on the same site, working remotely, or in different offices, since a simple Web browser is all that is needed. Useful, isn’t it?
