J2S Module Editor is an application with a user interface that allows you to define, without any programming knowledge, how to create the automatic layout of text or image frames in InDesign, according to the data received.
At J2S, we use the term “modules” to refer to all the instructions that drive Adobe InDesign to create page layouts. A module is a combination of :
- A graphic design, presented in the form of an InDesign file containing style sheets,
- All the conditional rules for creating and positioning objects on the page, together with the mapping of the data to be laid out.
Using the data received in a structured format such as XML and the modules created in this way, Simple Runner automatically generates the layout of the documents in InDesign.
